It is important that users of this tester read, understand, and follow all warnings, cautions, safety information, and instructions in this manual before operating or servicing this tester. Failure to follow instructions could result in death or serious injury.
Use caution with voltages above 30V AC as a shock hazard may exist.
Do not use if tester appears damaged or if the tester is not operating properly. If in doubt, replace the tester.
Do not apply more than the rated voltage as marked on the tester (1000 volts AC).
Do not rely on this tester with shielded wire. Operation may be affected by differences in socket design and insulation thickness and type.
Comply with local and national safety requirements. Do not attempt to repair this tester. It contains no serviceable parts.
Do not expose the product to extremes in temperature or high humidity.
(In the first time use of the detector, open the bottom cover, take out batteries and peel off the plastic sheet from batteries, put them back into main body and secure the bottom case.)
1. Tun unit on:
Press the button with power symbol for 2 seconds, Listen for single-beep sound and watch for a red LED to illuminate, now the unit is in self testing condition, after that red LED turns out and the green LED illuminates to indicate a successful self - testing and the unit is operational.
2. Checking for the presence of AC voltage:
In operational condition, place tip of the tester near an AC voltage. If the tester detects voltage, the red LED will illuminate and the green LED will turn out, a continual beeping sound is generated as well.
3. Turn unit off:
Press the button with power symbol for 2 seconds, Listen for beep sound for 1 second, the green LED turns out which indicates the unit is turned off.
4. Auto power off:
After 5 minutes of non-use, the tester automatically powers off to conserve battery life. Listen for a single beep sound and watch for the green LED to turn out, now the unit is power off.
5. Low battery indication:
If the LED lights dim and the tone fades in using the unit, the unit may require new batteries.
